Rumours Leading up to the Release Date
The first substantial leak of the Samsung Galaxy A52 came out in early November 2020, suggesting that the device would come with 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 750G chipset. And that it would keep the same quad camera setup found in its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A51.
Later, news surfaced that the Samsung A52 would come in a 4G and a 5G variant. Both which would be running Android 11. Not surprising considering that phones for sale in the same price range, such the Huawei P40 lite, had come out with a 5G version.
In early December 2020, press renders of the Galaxy A52 came out and we got to see the phone for the first time.
The first thing you'll notice is that, design-wise, the Galaxy A52 doesn't look that much different to the previous year's Galaxy A51. From these press renders, we could determine that the A52 would be slightly thicker around the camera area and come in at 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm dimensions overall.
